Chemical Composition/Ingredients
The GHS is an acronym for The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals. The GHS is a system for standardizing and harmonizing the classification and labelling of chemicals. Chemicals are associated with codes that define their health, physical and environmental hazards. This universal hazard communication system was developed to ensure that employers, employees and consumers are provided with adequate, practical, reliable and comprehensible information on the hazards of chemicals, so that they can take effective preventive and protective measure for their own health and safety.

EU Hazard Classification Directive 67/548/EECHazard Symbols are used to classify dangerous substances.
Hazard SymbolsRisk Phrases, denoted as a series of numbers preceded by the letter "R" indicate the nature of the special risks, in accordance with Annex III to Directive 67/548/EEC (see Article 23(2)(d) Directive 67/548/EEC). The numbers are separated by either a comma to denote separate statements concerning special risks, or an oblique stroke (/) to denote a combined statement, in a single sentence, of the special risks.
Risk PhrasesSafety Phrases, denoted as a series of numbers preceded by the letter "S" indicating the recommended safety precautions, in accordance with Annex IV to Directive 67/548/EEC. The numbers are separated by either a comma to denote separate statements concerning safety precautions, or an oblique stroke (/) to denote a combined statement, in a single sentence, of the safety precautions.

Warnings
Combustible liquid and vapor. May cause skin, eye and respiratory irritation. Keep out of reach of children. Keep away from heat, flame, and potential sources of ignition.
-
Acute health effects
From MSDS Inhalation: Regard this product as a severe irritant. The product may contain trace amounts of an known skin sensitizer. Exposure to excessive concentrations may produce irritation of the respiratory tract, coughing, chest discomfort, shortness of breath. Individuals with a preexisting respiratory condition can develop more sever symptoms, such as bronchitis, bronchial spasms, and pulmonary edema (fluid in the lungs). For most individuals these effects are reversible. Eye Contact: Moderate irritant. May cause tearing, reddening of the eyes and reversible corneal injury. Skin Contact: Regard this product as a severe irritant. The product may contain trace amounts of an known skin sensitizer. Contact with the product may cause dermatitis, allergic responses, and, in sensitive individuals, redness, swelling, and blisters. Ingestion: May cause irritation if swallowed. Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Preexisting respiratory or skin condition(s) may be aggravated by exposure.
-
Chronic health effects
From MSDS This product does not contain dust as produced and does not generate dust in normal use. Dust generated by abnormal activities, such as sanding or grinding, could contain a small amount (<0.1%) of respirable silicon dioxide [quartz] dust. Prolonged and/or repeated overexposure to free respirable silica may cause silicosis or other delayed and serious lung injury. The dust could also contain particles of titanium dioxide, calcium oxide, talc, aluminum sulfate, and/or calcium carbonate. Chronic overexposure to dusts of these substances may cause delayed and serious lung injury. This product may contain a trace amount (<1%) of a known skin sensitizer. Repeated or prolonged overexposure can lead to sensitization. For persons sensitized even brief exposures to low concentrations can produce reddening, swelling, rash, blister, chemical asthma, and nonspecific asthmatic conditions. This product contains solvents. Reports have associated repeated and prolonged occupational overexposure to solvents with permanent brain and nervous system damage. Solvents are also reported to cause liver damage, kidney damage, mucous membrane irritation. Be warned that intentional misuse by deliberately inhaling the contents [a process often called snuffing] may be harmful or fatal.
-
Carcinogenicity
From MSDS This product does not contain dust as produced and does not generate dust in normal use. Dust generated by abnormal activities, such as sanding or grinding, could contain a small amount (<0.1%) of respirable silicon dioxide [quartz] dust. NTP and IARC have listed free respirable silica as a suspect human carcinogen.

Handling information
From MSDS Do not breathe vapors. Avoid contact with eyes, clothing, and skin. Keep container closed when not in use. Keep out of reach of children. Do not take internally. Wear protective clothing at all times. Wash thoroughly after using. Use only with adequate ventilation.
-
Disposal information
From MSDS Review all local, state, and federal regulations concerning health and pollution for appropriate disposal procedure. Do not incinerate closed containers.
-
First Aid
From MSDS Eyes: Flush the eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If necessary, gently hold the eyelids open during the flush. Obtain immediate medical attention. Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash affect area(s) thoroughly with soap and water. Wipe or flush affected skin with isopropyl alcohol [rubbing alcohol]. Wash again thoroughly with soap and water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. Inhalation: Move the victim into fresh air. If the victim has difficulty breathing, administer oxygen. Administer artificial respiration if the victim is not breathing. Obtain immediate medical attention. Ingestion: Obtain immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting. Should vomiting occur, be sure to keep victim's head below hips to avoid aspiration of vomitus into the lungs.
